Our Story : A Journey of Jewellery
Hi! I’m Mary Wong, the designer and founder of Soulotte Studio. With a background in psychology and art from Hong Kong and London, I've poured 14 years of passion into jewellery that tells your unique stories. My designs have graced the pages of international fashion magazines like ELLE, Cosmopolitan, and Marie Claire, and I’ve been honored with awards from the HKJMA International Jewellery Competition. Let me share the journey that's sharped Soulotte with you.

From Paper to Precious
In 2011, I launched my first jewellery brand, Dopamine. I crafted delicate pieces from paper—think old textbooks, love letters, and even wedding invitations—turning those precious moments into wearable treasures. I even developed a special technique to make the paper tough and waterproof, so these stories could last forever. “Every piece tells a story,” I often say, and it’s true—I’ve loved helping people hold onto their memories in such a personal way. It’s been a joy to see the connections these little jewels have sparked.

An Australian Adventure
From 2015 to 2017, I set off on a 4,600-mile road trip across Australia, sharing my passion at pop-up shops and lively local markets. My paper jewels caught eyes and warmed hearts—even landing a spot at the Vogue Melbourne Fashion Week. Along the way, I met the most inspiring people, whose stories and energy lit a fire under my creativity. It wasn’t just about selling; it was about those serendipitous moments that still whisper in my designs today.
Mastering the Craft in London
In 2018, I was awarded a scholarship for a Master of Arts in London. That’s where I fell in love with metalsmithing. I adore how it lets me blend that strong, structured edge with the soft, flowing beauty of nature, the kind that grounds my soul. This inspired me to found Soulotte Studio in 2020, where every piece honors that perfect balance of strength and tenderness. My designs draw inspiration from nature’s elegance—flowers, twigs, organic shapes, and the tactile beauty of rustic stones—infusing metal jewelry with a fresh, timeless vitality. It’s been my way of inviting a bit more poetry into the world.

HKJMA Top 30 finalists
In 2021, it was an honor to join Chow Tai Fook’s esteemed Design Residency Programme. In 2024, I was grateful to be named one of the top 30 finalists in the HKJMA Jewellery Competition—a nod to all the late nights and heartfelt pours into my work. That same year, I had the thrill of being a guest speaker at the Hong Kong International Jewellery Show, where I got to share my journey with such an inspiring audience.

Soulotte Studio: A Space for Stories
In 2025, I opened Soulotte Studio on Queen’s Road Central in Hong Kong. This cozy haven, inspired by the warmth of my home where my first jewellery piece was born. Jewellery, to me, is more than adornment—it’s a personal story worn close to the heart. Soulotte Studio isn’t just a workspace; it’s a place to connect, where friends and clients step into her world, feel the warmth, and witness the passion woven into every creation.
