Our Story : A Journey of Jewellery – Soulotte Studio

The Soul of Soulotte

Mary Wong, the founder of Soulotte Studio, has devoted 14 years to crafting jewellery that transforms personal stories into timeless wearable art. Her designs have been featured in ELLE, Cosmopolitan, and Marie Claire, and honoured by the HKJMA International Jewellery Competition.

Her journey began in 2011 with Dopamine, her first brand, where she pioneered paper jewellery from cherished mementos—like tender love letters and wedding invitations. Using a proprietary waterproofing technique, she turned fragile keepsakes into durable talismans, enabling wearers to keep their narratives close.

In 2015, Mary embarked on an extended journey across Australia, connecting with collectors through intimate pop-ups and local markets. Her designs led to a feature at Vogue Melbourne Fashion Week and infused her work with the serendipitous warmth of encounters with diverse souls.

In 2018, Mary was awarded the Textile Alliance Scholarship, a full scholarship for a Master of Arts in Jewellery in London. There, she embraced metalsmithing’s poetic blend of metal’s strength and nature’s flow, inspiring the launch of Soulotte Studio in 2020.

Further honors followed: selection for the 2021 Chow Tai Fook Design Residency Programme; and in 2024, recognition as a Top 30 Finalist in the HKJMA Jewellery Competition, plus an invitation to speak as a guest at the Hong Kong International Jewellery Show.
